Cradle-to-Gate Carbon Footprint

Blue Tide’s base and process oils have been proven to significantly reduce carbon emissions compared to virgin base oil, making our process cleaner and better for the environment.

For the re-refined base oil the calculation is based on design data following industry best practice guidance, including API Technical Report 1533 (Lubricants Life Cycle Assessment and Carbon Footprinting—Methodology and Best Practice)

Achieving Circularity

Blue Tide aims to reduce waste and pollution throughout our business with our commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles. Re-refining used oil enables us to abandon the linear take-make-waste model and, instead, adopt a circular model. By repurposing used oil up to five times, we can help close the loop left open by wasteful practices and nourish a healthy economy.
